The Fort McMurray wildfire is now more than 2,200 square kilometers in size and it will take months to secure the region and to end the fire. About 88,000 people needed to be evacuated from the region around Fort McMurray, and about 10% of the city's buildings were lost to the fire. Some of the people only had 30 minutes notice before the evacuation, and all of them need help. As many other organizations in our city we thought to provide people the opportunity to donate while spending a nice afternoon in a sportive-recreational setting.

The Mahinur Jahid Memorial Foundation (MJMF) is a non-political and non-profit organization based in Edmonton, that strives to support both, Bangladeshi and Canadian youth connecting them with the community through cultural and sports activities. During the last years MJMF has hosted a number of different sports events, that beside soccer included cricket, kabaddi and badminton events.
