Historic recognition of Bengali New Year.

DHAKA, April 14, 201 7 (ANV) - Premier of Alberta Rachel Notley wishes Bengali community of Alberta a happy Bengali New Year. Premier
conveyed her Bangla New Year's greetings to the members of Bangladesh PressClub Centre of Alberta and the guests present were in the Minister of
Community and Social Services Honourable Irfan Sabir's (MLA, Calgary - McCall)luncheon at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
The Alberta New Democrat Caucus of parliament, in collaboration with the Provincial Assembly, a bill was raised in recognition of the Bengali New Year. Dennis sanmanita olarda, MLA, it was tabled in Parliament. It was welcomed by a huge applause respected legislator.
Honorable Speaker of the House of deep interest to the Bengali New Year Robert E. Warner said very seriously.
The Session at the Bangladesh Press Center of Alberta President, Bangladesh PressClub and Muktijuddah Sangshad of Canada Unit Executive Delwar Jahid, Bangladesh, Canada Association of Edmonton, Advocate Arif Khan, Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta President Masud Bhuiyan, MJMF Bangladesh sports Club of Alberta, Bangladesh Heritage Museum, including the anamura Rahman, Asia Views iuja and publisher Saifur Hassan, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Calgary NDP leader Vinay Dey, Tapas HOWLADER Society of Bengal, among others, to introduce the House leaders are especially honored.

The players of the MJMF Bangladesh Sports Club are inviting the people of Edmonton to a sportive charity event in an effort to collect donations for the victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire. The sports event is organized by the MJMF Bangladesh Sports Club under the Mahinur Jahid Memorial Foundation (MJMF) in assistance with the Bangladesh PressClub Centre of Alberta (BPCA).
